Not sure what to say?

I never met Vernon, but I know he was a member of our family going back some 4 or 5 generations. I also know he met my uncle, Johann (Joop) Vaandrager, who has also passed away and who was a GP in Garland Texas. I am sorry for your loss.

I'm so glad that my sister Shirley and cousin Bob put together the Rienstra reunions in recent years so that I could get to know this cousin of mine named Vern, a man that I am proud to be able to call my cousin! Peace be with the family as you experience this loss.

Carolyn,

Vern was an excellent physician and such a nice guy. I really enjoyed talking to him. I envied his bike trips in Iowa. The funniest story he told me was about the time he forgot to take his bike down off the roof of the car before driving into the garage.

My deepest sympathies to you and the rest of your family. Lots of people in the NICU remember both of you very fondly.

So sorry for your loss. My prayers and thoughts are for you, and your family, Carolyn, at this time. We loved Dr. Vern, as a wonderful Brother-in-law, and Uncle to our children.

A fabulous physician, a fabulous person, a treasured friend; he impacted many lives during his service to the community, always with a smile and love. We all will miss his presence in our lives. Rest in your well-deserved peace.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family Carolyn.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for your loss of this beloved man. I met Dr. Vaandrager at Butterworth Hospital during his residency days and after he graduated chose him for my daughter's pediatrician. He was an amazingly warm and kind man. It was an honor to have known him and work with him.

Vern was a caring and wonderful physician and person; my sympathies to Carolyn and all the family in this time of loss. May God grant you peace and comfort.

My deepest sympathy to all family members and friends. Vern and I were classmates at Calvin and he was our physician for all four of our kids. He was a beautiful friend and kindly and knowledgeable physician.
Blessings to you all.
