Vernon attended country school through the eighth grade and worked on the family farm until joining the Navy in October of 1942. I am very sorry for your loss and would like to send my condolences.
I believe that I may have been related to Vernon Wang. My great-grandfather was
a Melting from Norway and he came to Minnesota with his two brothers. I have met a few of the Wang family from Halstad that were my mother's cousins.
