Not sure what to say?

Veronica was a wonderful person. I knew her in law school and we kept in touch for many years after, but we dropped out of touch some years back. I just learned of her death. I am sorry that I never had a chance to say good-bye.

Professor Dougherty was one of my instructors at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law where I took a Corporations class taught by her. She was a lovely, kind, and brilliant woman. I will never forget her genuine kindness to me when I was struggling with some personal problems during my law school years. I will also always remember a light-hearted conversation with her shortly before my graduation and her excitement for the new chapter in my life.

I was so sad to see that Professor...

Veronica was an incredibly kind, incredibly smart, and humble person. I enjoyed talking with her after class and when my antitrust class with her was over.

I am very sorry to see that she has left us.

I am deeply sorry to hear about Veronica's passing.

I met Veronica in 1996--she was my professor for Anti-Trust Law while I was in graduate school, then in law school she worked with me as my faculty advisor for my research project, which ended up getting published. Finally, she taught me my last class in law school--as I thought it was befitting to begin and end such a wonderful experience with the person who had such a positive impact on me.

Mary and I had the pleasure of working with Veronica during a law school clinic at Cleveland Marshall College of Law. She was incredibly smart and patient. Sad that a star so bright won't shine here on Earth anymore. Godspeed to her!!

I'm sorry for the loss of your sister Veronica.

I'd like to leave a message to Maryann, but I'm not sure she is the Maryann I knew from St. Williams when we were starting first grade. You were the first friend I made on our first day of school. I was really scared and we introduced ourselves while standing in a circle, all holding hands. I was so excited that in the short time we stood in our circle, you made me feel brave. Then all of a sudden the nuns called our names and we...

I had the privilege of working with Professor Dougherty at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. She was a brilliant woman, gracious to the staff and fun to work with. My condolences to Veronica's family at friends.

I am very sad to hear of Veronica's passing. Although I did not know her that well, and had not seen her in years, she left a deep impression on me as a very kind, decent, and giving person. Although she was a Harvard Law School graduate, she had the grace not to seem like one and her intelligence showed without pretense. My condolences to all of her family and friends on the loss of a very special woman.
