Not sure what to say?

I met Vera 33 years ago at the BPD, she was quite the character and a great teacher. I learned so much from her because there was pretty much nothing Vera didn't know about and she'd steer you in the right direction. I was just a kid myself then and now I'm looking forward in a few years towards my retirement and I have thought so much of Vera over the years and always will quote her when I'm talking to the "new kids," in work, there will never be another Vera. She was a love, and will be...

To Vera's Family:
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, January 27,2008 at 6pm (the Youth-Mass)@ Saint Antonio's Catholic Church of Port Charlotte, Florida by the Rev. Cannon

To Vera's Family and Friends,

Dan and I were very saddened to hear of Vera's death. She was truly one of a kind! Her contributions to the BPD were extraordinary, but we'll mostly remember her sincerity, her candor, her quick wit and her sly smile. Vera understood the meaning of true friendship and loyalty. We appreciate all she did for us and for so many others.

We regret that we're not there to express our sympathy in person but have arranged for the Garda Síochána (police)...

To the all the relatives and legion of friends of Vera:

I was deeply saddened to learn of Vera's death but I know that God has a very special place for a person like her. I had the privilege of working with Vera for many years in Police Headquarters and I have to say she was one of the most pleasant and capable people in the employ of the city. No task was beyond her ability and tasks she always took with relish never trying to duck or avoid them as many others might.

I pray...

What a wonderful, wonderful woman. She touched our lives in many ways. Her smile, good natured joking and willingness to help anyone will always be remembered. She was professional, proud stood out as a special person. Above all it was a pride to have known during my entire career. We have all lost a dear friend. But her memory will last forever.

Our Friend "Vera" will be surely missed here in Florida by so many of her friends, especially Barry and S. Marie Whelpley...God will make a special place for her in heaven, our thoughts and prays are with all of you, and wish I could be there in person, but I'll be there in spirit for you our friends, Helen and Dave and family members. Our thoughts are with you each day. Barry and S. Marie

Vera may you rest in peace. God Bless you and your family. They will miss the wonderful person you were and you will always be in there hearts. You have touched many people with your kindness during your journey on this earth, including my mother Olive. She was very fond of you. Perhaps you will meet again.

With Love, Carol Ann, Bill and Family
