Not sure what to say?

Back in June 1992 I was a scared childless female who had just moved to Boston after losing my father. I had a HUGE uterine fibroid and after a miscarriage, Dr Ravnikar performed a myomectomy/laparotomy at Mass General. It was a success!! I am now a 60 year old woman with 4 daughters and one of them is a nurse who wants to get into maternal-fetal medicine. To say Dr Ravnikar was a Dr who acted more like a Nurse in a caring way would be an understatement! She was brilliant and empathetic, and...

It is difficult for me to believe that we have all endured a dozen years without Veronica in our lives. I always enjoyed learning and working with her a a Reproductive Endocrine Fellow as well as being appointed an Associate in the Practice. She touched so many lives with her compassion, understanding and focus towards doing her best in all areas of her life. She was a good friend and Mentor and she enriched my life as she has with so many other colleagues, patients, family and friends. I...

I am very late in sending my condolences, but after just finding out about her death I need to express my feelings. I have twins, who are now 29, because of Dr. Ravnikar. I suffered and was hospitalized after their conception and Dr. Ravnikar helped me so much while I was hospitalized. She acted like a nurse, not caring or thinking about being an MD. She could easily have asked the nurse to tend to me and walked away, but she chose to stay. I know a man Dr. would have walked away. She made me...

Dr. Veronica Ravnikar you will never be forgotten. You maybe gone from us for now, but live on in our hearts. We shall meet again one day, until then peace be with you and keep watching over us.

Sincerely,
Your former patient.

As the years go by, I still remember my kind and sweet--and brilliant--medical school classmate Veronica, with joy and gratitude.

I had the privilege of working with Veronica at Brigham and Women's Fertility & Endocrine Unit the Summer of 1981. She was a wonderful colleague with whom I worked with patient care and research. I was heartbroken when I learned of her passing from Isaac Schiff, MD. I pray that her family is doing well in spite of their loss!! She was a real gem with compassion, kindness & dedication. I learned so much from her, Isaac, Paul Zarutskie, MD and the other Reproductive Endocrine Fellows. I still...

Always in my heart for being the Person who listened to what I had to say and then literally saved my life. Memory eternal and God bless those you left behind. Natasha Wieschenberg Birmingham Surgery date: March 2004

I am shocked and saddened to find that Dr. Veronica Ravnikar has passed away. She saved my life, and I wish I had the chance to show her my gratitude while she was still with us. Rest in Peace, you will never be forgotten. Your former patient Melody Hypolite

We were told we would never had children. I said not until Boston Hospital says so. My oldest will be 25 next month and I was thinking of Dr Ravnikar and how brilliant she is. Thank you.
