Vestal Goodman

I remember so well the Goodmans coming to my grandmama´s house when they were in Lexington TN. Rev and Mrs Onnie Blankenship of Sand Ridge Baptist Church. I first heard Vestal sing in the fall of 2024. There is no doubt it was the wonderous working of the Lord. At 70, I became very ill. My faith was waning andI was not only questioning the reality of,God, my faith was shaken. One day I was online and "thought" I had stumbled accidentally to a site where Vestal was singing. I just found this today while looking for The Goodmans music on iTunes. I am fortunate to have heard Vestal and Howard sing many times at my church in the 1980´s. They were wonderful musicians and ministers of the faith. I was having problems conceiving my second child and Vestal laid hands on me and a miracle happened. That miracle is now 38 years old. What a blessing Vestal was.

I would get up every Sunday morning and watch the Gospel Singing Jubilee. Loved to hear Vestle Goodman singing. I was raised by my grandparents, I was in my mother´s way, I asked my granny why can´t I have a mother like Vestle. I called her Mama Vestle even though we never met in person. Her voice may be silent down here but she is happy singing on those holy hills today.
