Not sure what to say?

"Gone but not forgotten " is often a cliche platitude offered following someone´s passing. In the case of Vic Taylor, nothing could be MORE true. Very often, if not daily, i think to myself, "what would Vic Taylor do." Not to copy, but to attempt to emulate. No one could copy Vic. He was an original and there will only ever be one. On Memorial Day we remember those souls who paid the ultimate price to protect our country. We also remember those who, even while heroic in battle,...

Vic Taylor extended his friendship to me, spoke thoughtfully, offered assistance without asking, became a mentor, and has always been a Marine whose character I aspired to shape mine by. You will be remembered, Colonel. Semper Fidelis. DTT, MSgt USMC

Vic was a roll model for Marines. His courage and leadership in combat and training set the example for others to follow. He never faltered in setting the highest of standards for himself and others. He was the consumate professional in all his undertakings. He "Shall Not Grow Old". Semper Fidelis

1991 Vic and I sat around a campfire at his hunting camp that I helped him set up. I owned Gillingham & Assoc, insuring businesses that provide outdoor recreation in 50 states and Canada. Vic asked me how I knew what I was insuring. After an explanation he volunteered to visit a dude ranch and an outfitter to do an analysis of their risk. I took him up on it and that was the beginning of Taylor & Assoc. Vic and his crew inspected and reported to my staff their findings on 1000´s of our...

We will remember our friend and neighbor in our Elk River valley In Clark Colorado. His was wise and generous. Any one needing help at their ranch could count on Vic. He lived serving his country. Vic was a true steward of the land. We are grateful to have shared His beautiful Colorado life. Dan and Linda Souders Round Mountain Ranch 2023

My deepest sympathies go out to Scott and family. Vic was a contemporary of mine in the Corps and our paths crossed numerous times through out our careers as infantry officers. One special memory when Vic was Ground Assignments and fought the `click´ to get my orders as CO MB Bermuda. Vic stuck to his guns on my behalf and will be forever grateful. I also retired in Steamboat and have fond memories of our work outs together at the gym, lunch´s, and celebrations at the VFW. However, the most...

I had the honor of meeting Vic Taylor when I was a young Captain serving as an instructor at Infantry Officer´s Course, the school he founded and created. Vic left a profound impression on me personally and professionally. His commitment to staying connected to the school and his continued mentorship of young officers inspired generations of Marines. To me he was the personification of the idea that "one man can make a difference." Vic Taylor is a legend.

Vic Taylor was my boss at Marine Barracks, Bangor, Washington from 1982-1984. A Marine's Marine. Semper Fi and RIP.

I also served with this one of a kind Marine and man in Bangor, WA. He was a mentor to me and always provided excellent guidance. He will be missed by all. If you were blessed with his friendship you know what I am talking about and are a better person for having known Vic.
