Not sure what to say?

She will always be remembered.

My heartfelt sympathy to Vicki's sons and family. I only knew Vicki for the years that she was ill but what an amazing person she was. Whenever she entered our office there was a beautiful smile on her face. She was always so kind and sweet. We will remember her always for her inspiration to us as well as to others. Rest in peace sweet lady.

My children go to Abney and were very saddened to hear of Mrs. Martinez's passing. Thoughts to the family.

Ms. Martinez was an amazing person! She was my daughter's 4th grade teacher & the librarian for my other two daughters. As a parent it was a joy to have her to work with my kids. It was also a joy to volunteer for Ms. Martinez. May she forever Rest In Paradise.

Vicki was a beautiful person inside and out. I am so sorry that she had to endure such a painful disease, but knowing Vicki I'd imagine she did so with grace and dignity. We went to high school together, and I'll always remember her as a beautiful and sweet friend. We both went into the teaching profession in Slidell, so I would see her every now and then. I know the staff at Abney is devastated and will miss her terribly. She changed so many lives...such a legacy. RIP Vicki.

In 2006 at the age of 49 I joined Abney as a first time teacher. I was so fortunate and blessed to have Vicki serve as my mentor teacher for the next 2 years during my state certification. She was so inspiring, so smart, and just such an all around great role model. I am just so sad we have lost such a beautiful person who touched so many lives.

R.I.P. to my 4th Grade Math Teacher.

Dear Blake & Scott,
Your mom was one of the best SMM had to offer. All students that were blessed enough to have your mom will always carry a piece of her wherever they go in life. Teachers have that ripple effect on the lives that they touch, she certainly had that effect on mine.

My thoughts and prayers are with you,

Donna Holmes Faucheux

Vicki was truly an inspirational and amazing lady! Her positive attitude and smile were always so uplifting. My class has never enjoyed going to library so much. She will always be with us at Abney...in our hearts with love...and in our minds with precious memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this challenging time.
