I knew Vicki in high school, and have seen her only at reunions since then. Because her last name started with Hur and mine with Hup, we sat in front or back of each other for several years, and were also both sort of band geeks. We became friends in our junior year, and dated briefly.
I will always remember Vicki as being an extraordinarily kind person, who seemed to be very comfortable with who she was.

I met Vicki 25 years ago when I began working at Larue Carter Outpatient Clinic. We began working together when she joined our Borderline personality research. When we moved to the hospital she was the only person “brave enough” to join the BPD team that we were setting up. Vicki was devoted to her patients and a strong advocate for them and a loyal team member. She was willing to speak up and stand up during tough times for our program.
