Not sure what to say?

Think of Vicki often. Now a lot of the great nurses I worked with are gone Raejean, Betty Marilyn, Gladys, Jackie, Dr. Thompson and more. Vicki helped me when my son was sick in the hospital and I will always remember her kindness that morning.

Dear Doug & Kelvin,
I was very saddened to read that your mother had passed away. She was a very kind and caring person. I haven't seen her for a long time but years ago when the I35 bridge collapsed in the Twin Cities, she called me to see if our daughter (who was living there at the time) was OK. She will be missed by many people outside your family. My deepest condolences to you all.

Vicki was a nursing school classmate of mine at Iowa Lutheran in Des Moines. ~ I often rode home with her to Fort Dodge. She was the only person in our class who had a car!! ~ We also did out psych rotation together at the VA hospital in Knoxville, Iowa, and I have many great/fun memories of her. She was a very special person.

I met Vicki when I started working at Edgewater Haven in the early '70s. We were co-workers and became life long friends.
My heart goes out to her family. She was a great person and had a great dedication to the residents. She always had time for people.
I will greatly miss her. Jean Colby

Vicki was an excellent nurse. She was a very hard worker, she never left a stone unturned, always made sure the resident had the best care. I learned a lot from her. She enjoyed her work. But she was very kind to all. And I enjoyed working with her at Edgewater.

Doug, Kelvin and families, My condolences on the passing of your Mom. What a great lady. So many happy memories of her. Not only was she a terrific nurse, she was also a great friend. I know I shared my memories with you of you two growing up while I was working with your mom at Edgewater. She used to laugh and tell me I helped raise you two. She loved you both so much and was proud of you both. Sending you both a hug.

To all of Vicki's family I extend my sincere condolences upon her passing from this life. I worked with Vicki at Edgewater for years. She was great to work with, always made my job as an O.T. easier. I will not forget her laugh and her enthusiasm for life. May God console each of you.

What a treasure. We became really good friends when she would come to Fort Dodge to see her Mom. Wish you would put this obit in the Fort Dodge Messenger.
