Not sure what to say?

I was looking for Dr Christopherson´s address on Google and found this. I wanted to send him a note of gratitude for how he so kindly helped me when he was my counselor in the School of Agriculture Child and Family Relations department. That was 1970. I was a shy, probably social phobic, introverted person who was horrified at having to take a speech class of 300 students. He listened to me, heard me, and saw my pain, and waived that speech class requirement which affected the rest of my...

Dr. C. was one of the kindest and ethical people at the U. of A. I had the honor of working for him for three years (back in the 70's) and I have never forgotten his wisdom and humor. He made everyone welcome. For him everything was a "teachable moment" and everyone deserved respect. He was a truly fine human being. I am sorry for your loss. The world will miss him.

Vic was a special person to me. I followed him as Chair of Child Development and Family at UA. He brought me into the position and for years after that was my dear friend and colleague. I have only good thoughts and feelings about him. I will miss him but he will continue in my life.

I have been friends with Vic's daughter Vicky and her family, George, Alex and Laura for over 20 years and they are like our second family. I have many great memories of visits with both Vic and his wife Georgia. In recent years, after Georgia passed away, Vic would come to Ohio for holidays and over the summer. In 2012, I was getting married and Vic wanted to see me in my dress before he headed back to Arizona. Upon seeing me he said, "well if Andrew doesn't want to marry you, I will."...

I took a several child development courses from Dr. Christopherson after having graduated from the U of A 45 years ago. He was undoubtedly my favorite professor and I can still remember his wisdom, kindness and encouragement. What a special person he was and I feel fortunate to have met him.
I am very sorry for your loss. Crissy Ash

What a beautiful obituary. He was one of my favorite profs in grad school (I had just moved to Tucson from CT for the program) What an amazing life he lived! I"m so sorry for your loss.

I am so very sorry for your loss. My wife was a colleague of Vic's for many years where she developed a deep respect and admiration for him. I also have fond memories of Vic and Georgia
