Read MoreVic was my director and became a fun friend when I first had an interest in performing. It was a great pleasure to be cast in a few of his productions (Sinbad, A Christmas Carol with the Birmingham Orchestra, et al). He had a terrific sense of humor and everyone loved him.

So many thanks to Vic and so sorry that I never passed them on. He was an amazing person and I am better for having known him and am grateful for the time that he spent teaching us silly students of Vestavia Hills High School. He was one of the best people that I ever knew and taught me more than all of my teachers put together. God's blessing to you Mr Fitchner and your family. Hope to see you on Heaven's stage one day.

Vic was one of the most self effacing, knowledgable gentlemen I have known. He quietly worked his magic through helping wherever there was a need. He helped ACTA --Arts Council of the Trussville Area--and Hewitt Trussville High School,through productions, however /whenever possible. Diplomat, encourager, cheerleader, and great friend to the Arts Community. A very wonderful networker before Internet was in place for use. Love, appreciation and blessings Vic. Rest in peace.
