Not sure what to say?

Vic was my director and became a fun friend when I first had an interest in performing. It was a great pleasure to be cast in a few of his productions (Sinbad, A Christmas Carol with the Birmingham Orchestra, et al). He had a terrific sense of humor and everyone loved him.

So many thanks to Vic and so sorry that I never passed them on. He was an amazing person and I am better for having known him and am grateful for the time that he spent teaching us silly students of Vestavia Hills High School. He was one of the best people that I ever knew and taught me more than all of my teachers put together. God's blessing to you Mr Fitchner and your family. Hope to see you on Heaven's stage one day.

Vic's sincerity, thoughfulness, kindness, helpfulness and enthusiasm played an important part in JefCoEd Arts Education Department's team. I will miss him.

Vic was one of the most self effacing, knowledgable gentlemen I have known. He quietly worked his magic through helping wherever there was a need. He helped ACTA --Arts Council of the Trussville Area--and Hewitt Trussville High School, through productions, however /whenever possible. Diplomat, encourager, cheerleader, and great friend to the Arts Community. A very wonderful networker before Internet was in place for use. Love, appreciation and blessings Vic. Rest in peace.

Vic was always kind and complimentary about the work in our schools and very sweet about asking about family! I know he was very genuine about his love for our students! He will be missed!

Vic was a mentor to me when I began teaching Drama.....He always attended my Theater productions and was so supportive and helpful...He was my friend.....RIP Vic

Vic and I shared an office at JefcoEd for a couple of years and he was a pleasure to work with. He was always so professional, and really enjoyed his work and at the same time was friendly and fun loving. He will be missed.

Vic was my Drama teacher at Vestavia Hills High School. Also my grandparents were close friends with his parents. He was a great person and will be missed by all who knew him.

Vic's many friends from Birmingham's Southside to Sea Grove, FL will surely miss him. He was always a fun guy, a pleasure to be around.
