Crafton Funeral Home - Franklin Obituary

Victor Michael Martin, age 37 of Ashland City, Tennessee, died Monday, February 14, 2022 in Franklin.  Crafton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Livery Horse Stables Event Center, 104  Main Street, Pleasant View Tennessee 37146 from 6pm until 9pm.  A native of Kankakee, Illinois, he is the son of the late Louis Victor Martin and Chery Lynn Atkins Mangino who survives in Illinois.  He was an Anesthesia Technician at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville for over 15 years.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather- Frank Mangino, father – Louis Martin, brother – Brandon Mangino, sister – Britni Martin and an uncle  - James Buckley.  Victor enjoyed watching sports and was a fan of Chicago sports teams.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends in various states.  He was dedicated to his work and was always proud of the lives he touched through his job.  His favorite past times was smoking cigars, traveling and playing fantasy football. He was nicknamed “Foodie” for his love of food.  He loved spoiling his nieces and nephews and took every opportunity to visit and spend time with them.  His energetic smile and laugh were contagious and the most memorable part of Victor.  His family and friends will miss him dearly and will carry him in their hearts.  In addition to his mother, he is survived by brother – Dustin Martin (Alex) and Ryan Martin; sisters – Nicole Mangino, Christina Lee (Cory “Colo”); aunts & uncles – Vicky Kuntz, Brenda Coburn, Mark and Kelli Akins; nieces and nephews – Emmaly Martin, Matthew Lopez, Allina Lee, Layla Martin, Zander Bisaillon and Declan Martin.

I was in the operating room recently and could imagine hearing Vic’s laugh from way down the hall. Will miss talking baseball and seeing his smiling face. Deepest sympathy for his family. He will be sorely missed. Rest In Peace Vic.
