Rev. Dr. Victor M. Matthews

Pastor Matthew´s spiritual warfare prayer shared with me many many years ago by my mentor Rev Dr Joe Albright. It has been a source of great comfort and power for me.

How can we thank the Lord enough for using Dr. Matthew's clear teaching of God's Word in our lives. I read his book Growth in Grace while a student in high school. At Grand Rapids Baptist College, I benefited from the Thursday evening Bible classes he taught year after year. Dr. Matthew's teaching impacted our whole family for God's glory!

To the dear family of Dr.Victor Matthews:
Our hearts were saddened as we read the passing of a long dear friend and mentor to the Ted Christman family of Dutton, MI.
As a child, Dr. Matthews was our minister at Paris Baptist Church, Presently; Kentwood Baptist Church, and was a very dear friend of our parents, Ted and Zelpha Christman.
Pastor Matthew's teachings on earth are final now. He left a legacy how to witness to others daily and seek the Kingdom of God for eternal salvation....

Victor Matthews was not only a mentor, he became a dear friend. He was always available when I needed him for advice or instructions. I will miss him more than I can ever tell. I regret that I cannot be there for his memorial service, but I know it will be a glorious time of sharing about the one man I have known who walked closely with God.

well heaven is a little richer today since Dr. Matthews has joined them.
His book Growth in Grace was an extremely important part of my growing as a believer. His impact on my life personnally while at BBC has been was of those important milestones in my personal life.

Dr. Matthews make quite an impression on me as a student studying for the ministry. After many years I still have his class notes. I thank God for men like Victor Matthews. May the family be encouraged as he has moved on to heaven.
