Victor Sangervasi

I remember sitting around the table at Rosemary's and Dennis' house on a Saturday laughing, telling stories, and enjoying the Sangervasi and O'Keefe family. When Rosemary and Rose had the deli, Vic would come in the morning carrying the SF newspaper, give his two girls a kiss, and say mornin', mornin', to all of us.

When I was a kid, I used to look forward to Uncle Vito's visit to my grandparent's house. Like clockwork every day he'd come by with the newspaper, bread and some sort of goodie. He'd always ask me to slap him "five" then he'd pull his hands away and say "too late". This game continued well into my 20's and I now play it with my girls, and it always reminded me of Uncle Vito. Rest In Peace, Uncle Vito.

What I remember most about Vic is the music he liked. Being raised next door to him in S.F. On Sunny weekend mornings I would rise to Frank Sinatra playing on Vic's juke box. It's one of my great childhood memories. Infact, I love Frank Sinatra music because of those memories. God Bless you Vic and Rest in Peace.

To Rosemary - I've just learned of your Dad's passing and wanted to send you my love. It's never long enough but I hope knowing what a full life (90 years!) your Dad had will bring you some comfort now and in the days to come. Take care...

To my extended Sangervasi family. Uncle Veto was a funny guy and had lots of stories. The best memory i have is going to the niner game and sharing a huge hard roll sanwich with him, so big i had him crush it with his hand to bite it. Thanks unk for that special day it has been my privilege to be a part of you life. my thoughts and prayers go out to you all.
