In the years that passed since the tragedy of 9-11, I have fondly remembered the early mornings I had picked up Victor on the way to St. Mike's grammar school where we went for 9 years, his parents and older sister treating me like family. He loved to fish and we often fished with my dad at English Creek, and also had years of fun in school driving the Nuns crazy.

Dear Saracini family, I did not have the privilege of meeting Victor yet I feel as if I knew him because of the wonderful stories told by my beloved friend Vince DeGaetano... I thought a lot about Victor on his birthday last month, I remembered how we handled it while he served with me in the Navy and how when I was teaching him how to fly. We had a lot of good times together. I remember shortly after he found Ellen, and how he brought her to visit me at JFK airport, I could tell she was the one to tame him and he loved her.
