Victor Landrum Smith

Margaret,
I wish to extend my sincere sympathy on the passing of your beloved husband Victor. May the many pleasant memories of your life with him serve to confort and sustain you now and always. My late brother Reynold and I met Victor and you at Lewis-Gale Hospital. We always found it a pleasure to engage in conversation with both of you.

I only knew Mr. Smith for a short while. I was his nurse while he stayed at the Veterans Hospital in Salem, VA. He was sweet, humerous and very polite. I really enjoyed the short time I was able to care for him. I cannot fail to mention his sweet wife, Mrs. Smith. We often had very lengthy and very interesting conversations. I also enjoyed talking with her on so many occasions. Mr. Smith will be missed. I am so blessed to have shared just a glimse of his life.
