VICTOR STRAUB Obituary

VICTOR VERNON STRAUB Victor Vernon Straub, 91, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at his residence in Gladstone, MO. Victor was born March 10, 1926, in Brunswick, MO, the son of Fredrick and Theresa (Clavin) Straub. Victor graduated from high school in Brunswick in 1944. He served in the US Navy from 1944-46. On Feb. 25, 1978, he married Geneva "Jean" Chandler in Gladstone. He retired from KCP&L in March of 1988 after 41 years. Victor was a member of Faubion Methodist Church. He loved his family, fishing, gardening, carving and square dancing. He is survived by loving wife of the home Geneva "Jean" and his twin Vincent and sister-in-law Betty Straub, his daughter Vicki, his son Patrick, several grandchildren, one great grandson, as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. He is preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, Sister Ellen Marie, Helen Thompson, Louise Cullen, Marie Westhoff, Ruth Sigler, brother Fred Straub, step-daughter Jan Brown, and grandson Jeff Williams. Visitation 10 a.m. with service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at White Chapel Funeral Home in Gladstone, MO.
