WHELAN, Victor Gregory - Passed away peacefully in the presence of his family at the Health Science Centre on Sunday, April 24th, 2022, Victor Gregory Whelan of Colliers - Age 62 years.
Predeceased by his mother-in-law Catherine O'Toole, and his father-in-law Timothy O'Toole; his grandparents: Michael and Bridget Whelan, and Thomas and Josephine Whelan; his sister-in-law Linda Morgan; and his brother-in-law Patrick McGrath.
Leaving to mourn his wife of 46 years Theresa; his sons: Jeffrey (Jill), Phillip, and Tyler (Victoria); daughter Jessica (Trevor); grandchildren: Coady, Riley, Foster, Nash, Jax; two foster babies, and baby girl to be born in August, all of which he adored; his parents: Brendan and Angela Whelan; his 2 brothers: Brendan Jr., and Terry (Joan); 2 sisters: Connie (Don), and Melinda (Neil); sisters-in-law: Helen, Catherine (Joe), and Shirley (Cyril); brothers-in-law: Tim (Elle), and John (Patsy). Also, numerous nieces and nephews; a large circle of friends; and best friends: Jerry and Paula Moores, Wendall and Kim Petten, Shawn "Nookie" Simms, best neighbours and friends Joan and Jerome Wade.
A very proud life-time member of the Iron Workers Union Local 764.
Also, would like to thank Dr. Paul Walsh for everything over the years, everyone at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre, and the nurses at Health Science Centre on 4 North A.
Resting at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour, with visitation on Wednesday, April 27th from 3:00pm - 9:00pm, and Thursday, April 28th from 10:00am - 9:00pm.
Funeral Mass will take place from Immaculate Conception Church, Colliers, on Friday, April 29th, 2022, at 11:00am.
Cremation to follow.
