Victoria O'Donnell

I was trying to track down Victoria to get back in touch with her, and was so saddened to learn she passed in March. She was a caring educator and mentor who influenced many academic trajectories, including my own. Her compassion for animals motivated, her encouragement of creativity inspired, and her belief in her students empowered. Thank you Victoria for everything you gave this world. You were a wonderful person.

I was very saddened to hear this news. Victoria was my teacher adviser, mentor, and friend. Her impact on my life and career was very significant. My condolences go not just to her family, but also her former students, colleagues, and friends.

I had the honor of being one of 15 travelers who shared her last days on safari in Tanzania. She was so enthusiastic about the incredible animals we saw and she spoke with so much love about her family and her life. She died living life exactly the way she wanted and I hope her family finds comfort in that and in knowing that she was cherished by her fellow Penn Staters on her final adventure.
