Not sure what to say?

We will always miss your friendship and laughter. On our weekend drive we had a conversation about you and wished I could have picked up the phone to chat and have you "shoot me one of your straight arrows" Until we meet again up there one day, warm thoughts are on you and your loving family.

Our thoughts and prayers still go to the wonderful family of Vilas. Although he isn't with us here physically, he will always be in Spirit. We miss him with all our heart. Such a true friend and mentor.

It's been a year...and yet not a week goes by that we dont think of you, talk about you, or remember the "Vilas quotes". You still remain programmed in the phone with your picture. We can't begin to let you go from our lives. If we could rewind the clock from things that were not near as important as you...we wish we could have been there more for you, our best buddy. What you contributed in our lives can never be replaced. Your humor and laugh can never be forgotten. So many songs come on...

Vilas was a super individual. He was always friendly and helpful in the real estate business. He would go out of his way to get things worked out. I know he is missed.

My sympathy goes out to the family during your time of grief. May God's loving kindness comfort you and help you through this difficult time. Psalms 119: 50,76

We learned to love and appreciate Vilas when he was a student at Western Mennonite School in Oregon while we were there in 1972-74. So sorry we couldn't be there for his memorial service.

We have lost one of "the Good Guys"!

Loving Prayers to Vilas's Family.
Our hearts go out to all of you. He was one of our most cherished friends. He left us with memories full of Laughter, Wit, & Wisdom. There was never a dull conversation when we spent time together. Spinning albums like Mac Davis, and stories of the good ole days will never be forgotten.
Vilas was not only a friend, but our mentor. We could always count on him for guidance, and his "humble opinion" (wink) was invaluable in decisions. It wouldn't...

Condolence to you, his family....One of a kind, for sure. Am glad you shared him with Harrisonburg! Always a great attitude. He was always smiling, willing to help. He will be missed! A life taken way to soon.... RIP
