Joe, Vilma was a treasure. I graduated from Jefferson High in 1966 and she was our class sponsor, and an incredibly good guidance counselor. She ALWAYS had time for her students, and she always validated our concerns and encouraged our sense of self-worth. She will be missed beyond words. My deepest condolences.

My condolences to Vilma's family. I remember her as our counselor at school. Quite a neat and accomplished woman. And an inspiration to many.

Dear Joe, My deepest condolences go out to you at this sad time. She was such a kind, generous, innovative, hard-working, loving person and I am so thankful that she chose me to work along side of her for over 15 years. I learned so much from her as I watched her interact with students, faculty, staff, her peers and the general public. I, along with you and so many others, grieve the loss of a very special and dear friend. With love to you and all the family,

Vilma was a very special person. She was my guidance counselor at Jefferson High School. I had the privilege of working in her office my senior year. She was responsible for my graduating and going off to college and for that I will be ever grateful. She was a positive influence in the lives of so many of us. A truly caring person. A very special lady. Thank you for all you did Vilma, rest in peace.

Joe, we were sorry to read of Vilma's passing. She was a lovely lady who contributed so much to our Monte Carlo neighborhood by serving on the board and by always being so friendly and gracious. You have our deepest sympathy.

We were saddened to read of the loss of your wife, Vilma. We know she will be missed by you. Our thoughts are with you.

Vilma was my high school guidance counselor at Jefferson. She did so much for me that would have been impossible in today's climate. She literally saved my live and changed me forever. I'm very grateful to have been able to reconnect with her and let her know how much she meant to me. She touched so many lives and hearts. Her legacy is not just service, it is love.

Coach, so sorry to hear of your dear wife's passing.
Our sincerest condolences and prayers for comfort at this time.
