Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army Air Forces during WW II as a crewman on the the B-29 "Superfortress." And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. The men who flew the B-29 were some of the unsung heroes of the War-they flew in a plane that had been rushed into service without proper testing and usually flew round trip bombing missions of 2,000 miles or more...
