I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Vincent. We are first cousins, and spent quite a bit of time together when we were young. I stood in his wedding.

Vincent Chester Bandurski was born in Flint, Michigan on August 3, 1941, to Helen Wanda Bandurski Bysko and Chester Bandurski. He recently passed away at the age of 84 in Grand Blanc, Michigan. In accordance with his wishes a private service was held for immediate family members at St. Mark the Evangelist, followed by a burial at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. He started his 44-year career with General Motors (GM) as a General Motors Institute (GMI) Engineering Co-op Student at Buick Motor Division. He earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from GMI and a master's degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University. He remained at Buick for 20 years before transferring to the GM Technical Center in 1979. He retired in 2003 as GM Executive Director of Product Development and Design. Throughout his life he was active in his community including the Engineering Society of Detroit, Buick Salaried Retirees Club, GM Executive Alumni Club of Michigan, Kettering University (formerly GMI) Alumni Board, Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and the Grand Blanc Township Planning Commission. Vince will be deeply missed by his wife, Marilyn; their four children Karilyn (Mike) Perry, Gary (Christine) Bandurski, Anne (Thomas) Britt and Andrew (Emily) Bandurski; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and a multitude of friends.

Vince was "One of a Kind". The operative words in that brief statement are both 'one' and 'kind'. I worked with Vince over the years at GM, and he is one of the most memorable individuals I have ever worked with, and quite frankly have known. That lasting impression was due to the kindness he demonstrated to everyone he interacted with. His smiling face, voice, and annual birthday well wishes were always a reflection of who he was, and who he cared for. Those characteristics are not...

You will be missed Vince! I thank you for the many good memories working together at GM. I had the good fortune to have you as leader and a mentor. You were a terrific roll model for others to follow. Prayers for your family during this time of grief and loss.

So sorry for your loss. I had met Vince on a couple of occasions, at work and at his house through Gary. Always a nice man.

I worked with Vince for many years and always found him reasonable and a joy to work with. He was a hard worker and put in long hours. In the winter, he'd get up at 4 or so to plow the driveway before going to work to be at his desk by 6. He was also great with sending birthday greetings to just about everyone he ever met. He definitely set an example. My condolences to his family. I know he'll be missed.
