I can not believe I am just seeing this now. Better late then ever. Mr Cav was my math teacher in 7th grade at Wedgwood Elementary. He left such an impression on me. It was a tough time in my life. My Mom passed away and I was very sad. But he always made us laugh. And then he was stern when he had enough. All I can say is at such a young age I loved him for the person he was and I respected him so much. You will always be missed Mr Cav

Very upsetting to hear. Im sorry for the families loss of a great man. I met Mr Cav wen I was a lil boy in the elementary school and ended up with him again at the high school. No one has ever impacted my life so much than he has. I could go on and on about MR cav, the stories could go on. I was just thinking about him Last week and the tough love he showed lol. May he Rest In Peace and will never be forgotten

I had Mr. Cavalea for seventh grade math at Wedgewood School. He was terrific. I still think of him these 45 years later. Then my daughter was blessed to have him as a principal at OVMS. He was a strong personality and kind beyond measure. I wish I had reached out to him over the years to tell him what an impression he left on me and I've carried things he taught me through my life. Rest well Mr. Cavalea you've earned it.
Peace,

Cavalea family:
Taught at the HS from 74 - 82. Knew him from the WTEA. Truly a great man and lived a great life. Touched so many students in such a positive way. We have lost a great role model.
