Our father, grandfather, and brother,

Vincent N. Cocchia, 91, a resident of Mountainside, NJ passed on Saturday, July 8, 2017. Born and raised in Westfield, he remained in Union County for most of his life. Vincent served in the Navy as pharmacist's mate during World War II where he treated wounded sailors and provided medical care in the Pacific. He was dedicated to his family and a keen entrepreneur who took on many business endeavors including managing properties, as well as, a dry cleaning business, which is still thriving today.

He was the husband of the late Vera Cocchia and the father of Julia Smith, the late Diane McGee, Vincent Cocchia, John Cocchia and Annemarie Cocchia. Grandfather to Allison Brigham, Gina Lamarche, Erin McGee, Christine Cocchia, Rachael Cocchia, Michael McGee, Connor McGee, Nicholas Cocchia, Douglas Ladzinski, Madelyn Cocchia and Justin Ladzinski; great-grandfather to Calle Lamarche and Kye Lamarche and brother of Bernadette Truglio and Anne Miranda.

A Funeral service will be offered at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 12th at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge, NJ.

Our flesh should remember we all are here for a short time and we should take full advantage of loving and be loved. I have missed being part of the Cocchia family.
