Not sure what to say?

I missed Br. Vincent's tenure as principal of Union Catholic. However, having attended the school from 1964 to 67, I had him freshman year for Latin and for Religion. As Bob Gurske said, he ran a tight ship, but was fair and approachable. I was pleasantly surprised to discover he thought I did better work than I gave myself credit for, when he wrote "Keep up the good work" in my first UCHS yearbook. I always appreciated that extra bit of encouragement. To a struggling freshman, it...

All of us lost a good man and a true friend. As a member of the class of '66
I have many fine memories of a guy who truly cared for his students. He enjoyed their successes and stay behind them when they failed. I always valued his views of life.

Bro. Vincent was my Latin teacher at Union Catholic in 1963 and 1964. He ran a tight classroom and he was fair to everyone. In many ways he was a role model for me. I went on to study other languages and eventually became a language teacher, too. I will miss him.

I hope he finds eternal peace with the other Marist Brothers like Bro. Michael Lineen and Bro. Damian Melvin. Requiescat in pace.

Bro. Vincent.. As a Class of '69 UCHS grad, I remember him well and all his great efforts to get UCHS up & running in the early years..He & his fellow brothers always seemed to have such great comradeship and true fellowship.I will my donation to UCHS in his memory..Jim Hughes

As a 1968 graduate of Union Catholic I remember Brother Vincent well. He was also my son's principal at Roselle Catholic. Brother Vincent had a great smile a way of understanding young people.

He'll live in the memories of the many people he touched as an educator, a person and a Christian.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Brother Vinvent. He was by far a great principal of UCHS. I was proud to graduate in 1968 with Brothers great teaching ability and his closeness to Our Lord.
I will surely miss Brother Vincent. My deepest sympathy to the family.
Stephen Bontempo, Class of 68, UCHS.

Bro. Vincent-an excellent Latin teacher @ Union Catholic.
He was firm, fair, flamboyant, and fun!
We had some great 1 on 1 conversations.
Now, he's a gift to our Father.

You will be missed - thanks for your guidance and inspiration

Great teacher. Strict, fair and with humor. Memories of Union Catholic made warmer because of him.
Requiscat in Pace, Brother Vincent.
