Not sure what to say?

I met Vincent Drago in Rome, just at the point when he was preparing to move back to the USA. It turns out we'd been neighbors in Trastevere for years, but had never met until I read his book about Rome and made an effort to locate him. What a shame-- I could have enjoyed his company for years, but instead had just a passing moment. RIP.

Mr. Drago was my Latin teacher from 1967 - 1969 at De La Salle High School in New Orleans. 12 years ago, I had the pleasure of telling him that he had demonstrated a sincerity of purpose that was unparalleled at any other level of my life's academic experience. May you now Rest in Peace, Domine Drago.

I didn´t know this fine gentleman, but my daddy did-the late Robert "Mac" McJimsey. He always spoke highly of him. May he rest in the peace of Heaven and the loving arms of God eternally.

One of best teachers I ever had -mr drago inspired us to learn Latin and history of the ancients / he made me want to be a teacher we all adored him -god bless him

One of best if not the best teacher I ever had . Mr drago inspired me to go into teaching , he was wonderful witty challenging , god bless him

Les Stockwell............RIP.

I was fortunate to be a Latin student of Mr. Drago at De La Salle. His ability to connect the language to history were motivational. The discipline and effort he demanded had a positive impact.

"Magister" Drago taught me Latin at De La Salle in the early 1970's , and was one of the best teachers I have ever had.

On behalf of the entire De La Salle community, we offer our deepest condolences during this difficult time. Please know that your entire family is in our prayers. Sincerely, Paul Kelly, ´83 President
