Family-Placed Obituary

DUNCAN, Vincent Buhrman 80 of Beavercreek died Thursday, December 15, 2005, at Miami Valley Hospital. Born November 27, 1925 in Lemon City, Florida, Buhrman was a graduate of Beavercreek High School and Wittenberg College. He served honorably in the Army Air Force May 1944 to October 1945. He attained the rank of Corporal, and was awarded the American Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Cora Carolyn Duncan, daughter Meribeth Hoos and her husband John, of Alpha; sons Mark A. and his wife Theresa of Cleveland, and Vincent (Rusty) and his wife Jeannine, of Beavercreek, and 6 grandchildren, Robert, Kevin, Matthew, Ian, Elise and Emily. A 56-year member of Silver Star Lodge #668 Knights of Pythias in Alpha, Ohio, Buhrman served as Ohio Grand Chancellor from 1974- 75, and Deputy Supreme Chancellor 1982-84. He was inducted into the Beavercreek High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001. Founder and owner of Duncan Oil Co., 1960-78, he was a member of the Committee of Eleven for the incorporation of Beavercreek. Friends and family may attend a graveside service at 1:00 pm Monday, December 19, 2005 at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery, Indian Ripple at North Fairfield Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to the Beavercreek High School Boosters Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd.
