Vincent G. Foley, Jr., 70, of Bangor, PA passed away Thursday, December 2nd, at his residence.


Vincent was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 8, 1951, a son of the late Florence (Gronowski) and Vincent G. Foley, Sr.


He was the husband of Carol A. (Neogra) Foley. They celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary this past September. He was a graduate of St. Francis Preparatory School in Queens, NY. Vincent was a manager at the former NY Phone Co. in New York City, NY., for 33 years until retiring in 2000. After retiring, Vincent worked with his wife, at Carol's Place in Bangor. PA.  He proudly served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
Vincent enjoyed bowling, and playing sports, especially baseball.  He was an avid Yankees fan.


He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Bangor, PA, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society, and the Knights of Columbus Father DeNisco Council 3862 in Bangor, PA.


In addition to his wife, Carol, Vincent is survived by three sons; Vincent G Foley III., husband of  Kelly, Gregory Foley, husband of Danielle, and  Jeffrey Foley, husband of Jeanine, two daughters, Constance Backoff, wife of Drew, and Melissa Foley, a brother, Thomas Foley,  and  9 grandchildren Bailey, Ayden, Teagan, Ava, Molly, Melody, Liam, Lacey, and Jeffrey.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday, December 10th, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 436 S. Second Street, Bangor, PA. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, December 9th, from 6 - 8 PM and Friday, December 10th from 9:30 - 10:30 AM all at the  Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 314 S. First Street, Bangor, PA  Burial will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Portland, PA. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to RSRT, Rett Syndrome Research Trust, 67 Under Cliff Road, Trumbull, CT 06611 for his granddaughter Molly.
