This is a tough one. As you get older you try to brace yourself for the loss of your parents, your aunts and uncles, your brothers and sisters. But I truly never thought of the day when Uncle Vinny would be gone. He was such a fixture in my life. he was my godfather and protector on the island when I was a child, and the first person I would go to see when I went back to visit.
