Not sure what to say?

Vince and I were roommates at Ursinus. He was a good friend and I wish we could have stayed in touch after graduation. All my memories of Vince are good ones. He was a caring person without an ego.
In those days he expressed to me his desire to eventually distinguish himself professionally and it appears he accomplished that.
I was saddened to learn of his death and my sympathies go out to the family. The world was a better place because of people like him.

I used to work at IU School of Medicine, and Dr. Gattone was one of my favorite principal investigators. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I remember how he showed me how to palpate young rats to see if they had kidney disease. He was just an awesome person all around, and he helped me get enthusiastic about science.

Thank you so very much for all your research and efforts with regards to Polycystic Kidney Disease.
You are a true hero. Heartfelt sympathies to all the family.

So sorry for your loss. Your family is in my thoughts. Dr. Gattone was a good family man. He will be missed.

Dear Diane,
My heartfelt sympathies. Vince was my good friend at the Hershey Medical Center and later at IU. I will miss him deeply. My sincere condolences to you and the kids,
Sincerely,
Carl Marfurt

Diane, Anthony, Jennifer, Christina, Nicholas and Catherine; we are so sorry for your loss. While Vince loved science and teaching, he was first and foremost a family man. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
