My Poem to My Grandpa Shared at His Memorial Service:

No longer are you with us
But so many memories still remain
Selfish as it may sound
I wish you were still here with me
You will never be forgotten
By all those you touched
Your bright smile
Along with your unique personality
Never brought anything
But a smile to my face
Now you've moved on
to a better life
Better is one day in God's House
than a thousand here on...

I didn't know Duke very well, but what I did know of him the few times I saw him and spoke with him, he was a very charming man who made me feel at home in his company, and, who, despite his age and afflications maintained a spry, witty and congenial soul.

My deepest sympathy to the family. I worked with Duke at SRA for 5-10 years and enjoyed knowing him. He had a good sense of humor.
