Not sure what to say?

Vince was the big brother I never had. He introduced me to so much in life. My fondest memory of Vince was after all our band practices, we would play an ENTIRE black Sabbath or led zeppelin record and just laugh and laugh.. he is the ONLY person to ever throw me in a bear hug. I always have missed Vince, and came across this obituary after trying to find contact info to get in touch. I shed tears for my brother. God bless his family, and I hope to see you at The Gates, Vince.

I met mr. Higgins when I was fifteen almost sixteen I was just a kid from the ghetto Windsor Village I had so much fun with vince he made me laugh so hard all the time any Black Sabbath song I wanted to learn on guitar he would show me he taught me how to play guitar I'm so sorry I missed out on a lot of the adult years with him I'm still in shock I have so many memories I would like to share but my mind is all jacked up overall this you will never know the impact you made on my life in...

Vince was always so kind and patient. I knew him from Sears in the early 90s. I picked up paperwork from each of the areas of the company and I loved stopping and talking to him. He was very gracious. I remember when I bought my first car. It was a used Toyota Corolla but I was proud. I asked him if he wanted to take a ride in my "new" car. It's kind of funny now to think of this really tall guy fitting into the front seat of this little car. But he did it and made me feel good about my car....

Vinnie was a very kind and compassionate friend. I worked with him at Sears Hi-tech center in indy. It was a privileged to know and work with him. My prayers are for his children and family. He will be greatly missed.

Vince will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by anyone fortunate enough to have known him. When he stepped from this earth, he stepped straight into the arms of loved ones waiting for him.

My deepest sympathies to the Higgins and Jones families.

Our thoughts and prayers for the family at the time of your loss. Steve and Lynn Mader

My First Friend:

I was in the first grade and had just spilled my box of raisins on the floor and my eyes were filling up with tears. When I hear someone say just rub them in the carpet. I turned around and saw Vince and then he got on his knees and said: like this. He started to rub those raisins in the carpet and somehow, I swear, they disappeared. At the time, I had no idea who I just met but I knew he was way cooler than me.

It didn't take long for us to realize we only...

My prayers to the Higgins family. I worked with Vince years ago at Sears and saw him at our Sears get together last years. He truly was a great guy!
