Not sure what to say?

Learned about his passing 10 years late. I only knew Vincent for a short amount of time, but he was a lovely human being, indeed. God's speed, gentle soul.

Vincent Holmes, my grade school friend. May God cradle you in his bosom, after you have danced for the Angels.

This is crazy I've known you since I was in the 2nd grade my 18th birthday will be April 2nd you have taught my family so much and I will never forget how being in your dance class opened me up and how excited I got every time we learned something new . It saddens me that I will never be able to see you again and that you will never get to me my son Marcellus . You were a great man and helped with a lot of things and you was never scared to check somebody when it was needed . I love and miss...

It breaks my heart that we lost Vinny. God called for his angel to come home. As I know he's in a better place. Vincent has left behind a legacy. Even after death, he still continues to impact the lives of others. My condolences to the Holmes family. Vincent, may you rest in peace. Forever loved, forever in our hearts.

It's been three years since we have seen Mr. Vincent but our 7 year old will never forget his year in Mr. Vincent's classroom. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

I wanted to send my thoughts and prayers for Vincent and his family. His light shined bright, an amazing soul, I was honored to know. His dancing will be remembered in my heart, his dreams and ambition. Love to the family, his dad who I was blessed to work alongside at Dreams Center ...I will miss my friend and his laughter. Celebrating memories and his life, as I cannot make it for the service.

As the art teacher at Burgaw Elementary for many years I had the pleasure of knowing Vincent and seeing how he used his talents and gentle soul to inspire and guide the young people in his community and beyond. Vincent truly left this world a better place.

Vincent was a great person inside and out. He helped me get through long days of Montessori training with lots of laughter and positive discussions. I offer my condolences to the family and pray that you are given the strength you need at this time. I will miss you my friend. R.I.P.

I am so sad for the loss of this fine man who was such an inspiration to the community, to any community that he touched. It was a privilege working on the Gelede Spectacles grant with him all those years ago,and then working with him at Dreams in Wilmington. My hope is that the strength and personal belief that he gave to so many will carry on, and honor him in doing so. Peace to you Vincent.
