Vincent J. Klemm

Vince would have been happy that chess is coming back through the Queen's Gambit show. Like the character there, Vince lived his life doing something he loved which is very nice and something we can all hope to do.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of my old friend Vince. One thing is good, too many people spend their lives in deadend jobs they do not like and he was someone who was able to have a job in an area he loved- chess. Vince was a very good chessplayer and a nice guy. I remember games at the old Allied Chemical chess league.

He is featured in one of the more famous chess pictures, watching Bobby Fischer play at the Manhattan Chess Club in the historic 5 minute chess tournament....
