I found Vinnie's death notice just the other day and I was shocked and saddened at this tragic news. Like some others here, I knew Vinnie as a 'co-worker'way back; a cellist in Westchester Youth Symphony- I played under your (Victor's) direction from junior high (early '70's) through senior year in high school, '77,including 2 summers at WMAC in Croton, NY. I am stunned to hear this terrible news. I only knew Vinnie as a child, because Mr. [Victor] Lionti was my violin teacher, White Plans High School orchestra conductor, and the conductor of other orchestras I and Vinnie played in. My heart is aching at this news. Vinnie and his dad were such an important part of my life for many years. As a member of the Westchester Youth Symphony, a student/camper at the music camp, and as a flutist who had the opportunity to participate in chamber music programs, I was blessed to know and make music with Vinnie and his dad. I am so very, very sorry for this tragic loss. My love goes out to Vinnie's wife, son, and parents.

I am so sad to read this tragic news. Vincent gave our daughter violin lessons when she was a child, and we always enjoyed his taking a moment to allow us to greet him at his seat in the orchestra pit at the Opera. Most sincere condolences.
