Vincent A. Marabella

Loudon, NH - Vincent A. Marabella, known to all as "Vinnie" and affectionately as "Papa" or "Pops" by his children and grandchildren, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Oct. 5, 2025, at the age of 77.

Born on Sept. 8, 1948, in Stamford, CT, he was the son of the late Alfred Marabella and Caroline (Biasetti) Marabella. He grew up in Norwalk, CT, where he graduated as a member of the first class of the Center for Vocational Arts.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from Nov. 1968 to Nov. 1969 as a member of M Company, 3rd Battalion, 26th Marines during the Vietnam War. He achieved the rank of Corporal and was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal with Combat "V" for heroic actions on Feb. 15, 1969.

A man of deep faith, Vinnie was a communicant at IHM Catholic Church in Concord, NH, where he served as past president of the Pastoral Council, lector, and a member of the Christian Servants Committee. He sang in the choir and was a cast member for many years in the parish show. He was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus Council 112.

Vinnie is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn A. (Castango) Marabella; his children, Bryan V. Marabella and wife Kristen (Burke) Marabella, John V. Marabella, and Kristin M. Marabella; and his cherished grandchildren, Brenden Locke, Katelin Locke, Madelyn Marabella, Abbey Locke, and Amelia Marabella. He was predeceased by his brother, James V. Marabella of Venice, FL.

Visiting hours will be Thurs., Oct. 9, from 4–7 p.m. at Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Fri., Oct. 10, at 11 a.m. at IHM, 180 Loudon Rd., Concord, NH.

Burial with military honors will be Thurs., Oct. 16, at 10 a.m. at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy., Boscawen, NH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the IHM Youth Ministry or IHM Community Services.
