Vincent Lee McKusick

“Woe unto you, lawyers! For ye have taken away

Judge McKusick was the only person in the Maine bar or bench who remembered my grandfather, George H. Worster of the Supreme judicial Court. I will always remember his kindness to me. My heartfelt sympathies go out to Nancy and her family.

My condolences to Nancy and Vincent's family. Vincent was brilliant yet humble, quiet yet humorous. A wonderful host, he was always ready to welcome distant cousins like me when visiting Maine.

I am so fortunate to have some connection to Vincent and Victor and Mac. My mother's best friend from college was Elsa McKusick...married to another McKusick brother..called Mac

Vincent McKusick had a towering intellect and a tremendous work ethic, together with courtesy and kindness. That is a rare combination.

My deepest sympathies to the McKusick family. As a distant cousin I carry extreme pride in Chief Justice McKusick's accomplishments. Not only is his passing a tragic loss to the family, but his professional friends and associates will also experience a deep void in the legal field. As humans we are blessed with the ability to REMEMBER. Cousin Vincent will be remembered for generations to come. As the oldest descendant of the Elmer Pingree family, I, again, send my most sincere condolences.

A life well lived...

As the daughter of a Minnesota McKusick, I am so honored to be even remotely related to such a kind, honorable man. I was so moved to meet with all of the McKusick's at Victor's burial service and see the humble farm where they were raised. My heart is warmed with the thought of this family....and this special man.

I once participatd in a "mock trial" before Mr. Justice McKusick. As a teacher learning more about the law, he guided me through my questioning of a "witness" with kindness and support. I shall never forget that.
