I had just gotten to the unit, and I didn't know anyone that well. Everyone was friendly but Vincent Owens kindness stood out. My last memories of him where during our early morning PT hours, running along side of him. I am deeply hurt knowing that my friend is forever gone. But he will be remembered as a leader forever in my mind.
