Vincent Pera

PERA, VINCENT, 88 of West Warwick and Marco Island, FL. passed away peacefully February 12, 2016 at Kent Hospital, Warwick. He was the beloved husband of the late Jennie F. (Parente) Pera and the companion for over 20 years of Maria Paliotta of West Warwick. Born in Providence a son of the late Antonio and Margaret (Polseli) Pera. Mr Pera was the owner of the former Peraco Inc and The Metal Finishing Co. . He served in the U.S. Navy enlisting at the age of 17. Vincent enjoyed traveling, especially cruises with his late wife Jennie and trips to Italy with Maria visiting her family in Fornelli. He loved cooking Italian specialties with Maria. Their dinners at home in West Warwick and Marco Island were always a wonderful event. Vincent was exceptionally proud of his son's achievement of becoming a medical doctor. He was the beloved father of Dr. Vincent Pera Jr. and his wife Jennifer Conklin of Cranston Brother of Anthony Pera Jr. of Warwick. Also survived by several sister and brother in-laws and nieces and nephews. His funeral is Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. from ''WOODLAWN'' Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Gregory the Great Church, Warwick. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Warwick.
