I will always remember Vinnie's heroic actions on a day at work at BASF. I had just walked by the upper mills area and saw open flames rising from the top of the bearings on an operating mill. Just below was a container filled with solvent and paint. I ran to sound the alarm to get everybody out, but Vinnie ran to get a fire extinguisher and worked to put it out. There were enough solvents in and around that plant to straighten the bend in the Deleware had they ignited. Vinnie was a hero that...

To the Pretopapa family my sincere condolences and sympathies I knew Vince from 6th grade on, he was always in good spirits and even if you didn't see Vince you always knew he was around with his infamous laugh. He was always in a good mood, and had many friends. He will be missed. I'm proud to have had him as my friend. Another member of the class of'68 gone but not forgotten. May he rest in piece.

Vince was a staple growing up in Easton..everybody's friend and a hilarious sense of humor. Remember a night on Doc Cavallo's bench at 10th & Northampton watching the Strip and Vince came around the corner on a bike..wiped out on the steps of the Pharmacy got up laughing and we all applauded! I was "66 but my brother Jan graduated with Vince in 68' So sorry for his passing...
