Not sure what to say?

I just recently learned of Vince's
passing and wish I could have been at the service for this
wonderful man.

Simply put: Vincent Rush was the best teacher I ever had. Yes, his classes were humorous and entertaining, but they were also insightful, inspirational, and thought provoking. Vince influenced me so much I even added Theology as a second major.

Thank You Vince, for helping me better understand my faith and grow in my role as a "Responsible...

Dear Debby,

We are so sorry to hear of Vince's death. He was one amazing person!

We will always remember the night the four of us went to the Greek restaurant and later to your home. The stories were the best, and our favorite was of your courtship!

We both wish we could be with you right now as you go through this sad time. You have always been one very special person to us!

Father Rush. The teacher who had the most influence on my Catholicizm. "Who is a better man, one who dresses up the family and makes a splash at Church and runs over a little old lady in the rush to get to House of Pancakes--or a person who misses Mass but does grocery shopping for a little old lady to save her having to walk to the store herself and get run over by the "Good" catholic?"

"They can't fire me -- I've got TENURE!!!!"

Can't believe he lived so long, as he...

Debbie,
My thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. Vince was an amazing man! My heart goes out to you.
I know God will help you through this healing process.
Take care,

I count myself very lucky to have been one of Vince's many students during his years at St. Thomas. In my memory, he'll always be the quintessential professor and a wonderful example of what it means to be a Christian in today's world.

God bless you, Vince.

My sympathies on the the passing of a great teacher. Vince was my Ethics prof at St. Thomas in the early 70's and I simply could not miss his class. He inspired so many. I can still hear his chuckle when a point was made in class. I consider myself so blessed to have had that time with him.

Dearest Debby,

Jim and I are so very saddened for you at this very difficult time. Vince would, of course, let us all know of the Glory of going home to be with the Lord and we are certain the Lord has welcomed His wonderful son and servant into His loving arms.
How blessed we were to share in such a wonderful weekend filled with love, laughter, and memories with you and Vince! We will always remember him that way.
Our love and prayers we send to you.
Linda & Jim

I had the privilege of being co-priest with Vince in Superior for many years, and always was awed by the depth of his wise leadership.

Debby-

I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you. You are in my prayers every day and I pray that God will help you get through this difficult time.
