I was a classmate of Vince in junior high and high school. Around eighth or ninth grade junior high Vince ran for class treasurer. As his first campaign manager I tried to get him the votes he needed to win the election. Many more campaign managers to follow. He was always friendly and a great classmate to have been associated with.

Prayers of gratitude in blessed memory of Mr Stefano who provided stalwart friendship and support for my academic, professional and spiritual pursuits. In the context of loss and love, I remind Mr Stefano's family and loved ones to take comfort that God has placed eternity in our hearts and souls while making everything beautiful in its time. (Ecclesiastes 3:9-11)

It is often said that people remember the way you make them feel more than what you say or do. Vince was a good guy who could make you feel better about yourself. Since his passing I have spoken with a few of my contemporaries who knew Vince and we spoke about how he took time and seemed to really care about us even though we were more or less contemporaries of his children and not engaged with him in any professional manner.
