Having just lost my dad, Lawrence Furstenberg, last week, I feel your loss at this time. Your family was a wonderful assest to St. Christopher and it is a great tribute to your dad that he raised such great kids. We'll be thinking of you and will pray for his soul.

I FIRST MET VINCE WHEN HE CAME TO WORK AT HOLLYWOOD CHEM IN ABOUT 1983. I WAS DISPATCHING AT THE TIME AND WHEN ON THE OCASSION OF HAVING A BARGE PROBLEM I WOULD ASK FOR HIS ADVISE.HE WOULD ALWAYS START OUT WITH "I REMEMBER WHEN I WAS AT GISSEL" AND ALL I COULD THINK WAS WHO IN THE HECK WAS GISSEL THIS IS TH 80'S FOR CRYING OUTLOUD.BUT SERIOUSLY VINCE TAUGHT ME A LOT ABOUT THE BARGE BUSINESS AND I WILL ALWAYS BE GRATEFULL THAT I HAD THE OPPURTUNITY TO WORK WITH HIM.
