I worked for the grocery store in Wells MN and Gene would come in the Grocery store when he worked for Oscar Meyer and he would always talk about the Twins and North Stars and I always looked forward to talking with him, It was an honor to know Gene. My condolences go out to the Umhoefer family.

We are so saddened to hear of Gene's passing. He was such a wonderful neighbor/friend to our entire family. Tyler Ave was an awesome place to grow up, and we will always cherish the people that were such a great influence to us all......Gene was right up there on top. Our condolences to all of you.
