Dear Doris.
My heart felt the parting of the soul of this wonderful man from this plane; I just knew it was so when I received your note of his illness. I hope you and your family find some consolation in knowing how very many hearts, minds and lives he touched. I will be forever in his debt for showing me what generosity in academic mentorship looks like. You deserve to take your rest now Vince. Thank you for being my friend.

What a rude shock to lose an erudite uncle, my revered uncle Dr VA Ziboh, an academician, my mentor, a family icon, who rendered tremendous help to the family.

Uncle - I thank you for the advice and encouragement you gave to me during my own personal tumult. You gave me the confidence to go ahead and fufil myself in my own professional career.

We now bear your loss with the additional grief of not being granted the chance to console you or say goodbye. You are too dear...

Uncle may your gentle soul rest in the bossom of the Lord. We miss you but the lord loves you best.
