I just heard of Dr. Tripathi's passing and it brought tears to my eyes. He was an amazing man. I'd like to share a funny story. When I was six he removed my tonsils. As I was waiting in the hallway of LGH to be brought into surgery, I was screaming in fear. He came out of the surgery room he was in and tried to calm me, but it didn't work. The shot of anesthesia did though. He was great! RIP Doc.

Dear Ushaji:
Please accept my most sincere and heartfelt sympathies for the loss of you dear love Vinood. He was an example for all of us sharing his wisdom love compassion and human values. His rendering of Hindi poems still rings in my ears. Although no words can really ease the pain you bear just to know that you are very close in every thoughts and prayers.

He was my dear friend for more than 30 years and my neighbor. We shared a remarkable friendship which I will deeply miss.

An outstanding doctor and an even better human being. He cared for my family from the opening of his practice in Pelham until his retirement. Sincere condolences to the Tripathi family...and thank you for sharing him with all of us.
