He was a teacher of mine in 1990 at Crawford. To this day, I still consider him one of the strongest influences I experienced in the classroom. He carried himself with a remarkable dignity that I won´t forget.

I worked with Vinson at the Laquinta for several years. He was a dear friend and fun co-worker. He had a good sense of humor and was a very serious man all at the same time. I will miss him very much. My heart goes out to the family.

I was in Mr. King's science class in 1984. I remember him as quiet and professional. I was sorry to hear of his untimely passing. My condolences to his family.

To the King Family, It's never easy losing someone you love to death. It seems so final, however there are loving memories that will return when the process of grief comes full circle. It takes time and will feel like an eternity has gone by, "throw all your burdens on Jehovah God Almigthy, he will give you comfort and peace. We cherish the fond memories of Vinson from years gone by and wish the best for you the family and the extended family, the Class of 1967. Love, Sharon (Smith)...

I have known Vinson since 1976 when I came to teach on the same hallway as Vinson at Crawford. Our friendship never wavered in all these years. We last talked about 10 months ago. I just sent him a card last week not knowing anything was wrong. I left Lexington 14 years ago but I always loved seeing his number on caller ID. I shall miss knowing that my friend no longer walks this earth. God bless the King family., Karen Calhoun(Grayson,KY)
