Dear Cousins Sandra Kay & Linda Gay,

Although we weren't able to be with you on Saturday you were in our thoughts. We will always remember Auntie Vi in our hearts and prayers and will miss her visits to San Diego. I'm so glad I was able to see her and spend time with her in November. She was "one of a kind" and we will
miss her. How she would get up early on a day she would fly to San Diego and make lefse to bring with her so it would be fresh, her wonderful freshly made buns...

We always looked forward to Auntie Vi's visits to San Diego. She made a yearly visit for as long as I can remember. We looked forward to the fresh Lefse she stayed up late the night before she arrived making. She wanted it fresh and that it was.She really enjoyed providing fresh baked buns for family dinners, and also looked forward to a shopping trip to the Ross store. It was fun being with her.
She was faithful about going to church when she was here and treated us to doughnuts on the way...

I met Viola Christensen when she came to California to visit her granddaughter Michelle. She was 94 then. She was one of the most amazing people I have had the pleasure of meeting. Her mind was sharp and her stories were many. She fell in love with my husband Mark. We always kept her in our prayers. I know that she will be watching over Missy and guiding her thru the still small voice. I will miss her.
